2000i Gel Documentation systems

Units purchased from April, 1996 to the present

All systems purchased from Genomic Solutions and from BioPhotonics in April 1996 or after, have rounded edges, a plastic laminate top, and a detached keyboard. These units require the Operating System file OS30b1 available from the download/2000i subdirectory of the Bio Image Systems, Inc. FTP site. See Support for instructions on downloading files.

Utilities (Flash Disk, Networking, etc) are also available for these units. File Utils10 is for units purchased through 1997. File Utils20 is for units purchased in 1998 to the present.

Creating a DOS Bootable Floppy

The RAWWRITE programs allow you to create a bootable floppy disk.

  • RAWWRITEWIN.EXE is for Windows 95 and 98;
  • RAWWRITENT.EXE is for Windows NT, 2000, and ME.
  1. Download the Operating System file (OS30b1) or the appropriate Utilities file (Utils10 or Utils 20) to your PC.
  2. Insert a new, error free floppy in the drive. NOTE: The Operating System image files require the entire diskette.
  3. Open a Command Prompt window, and give the command:

    RAWWRXX.EXE   OSFILE   a:

    where RAWWRXX is either RAWWRITEWIN or RAWWRITENT, and OSFILE is the name of the Operating System image file or Utilities file.
